BUILDING BLOCKS FOR CHANGE / CARE FOR KENYA WINTER GALA

Supermodel Jessica Stam and Kenyan Ambassador to the UN, Bob Jalang’o hosted our annual Black and White Winter Gala February 1st, 2014 at Angel Orensanz in support of our plans to build the first women’s health clinic in the slums of Kibera, Kenya. The overall goal for the project is to promote the health and wellbeing of underpriveledged women and their children through an integration of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare services such as HIV testing, vaccinnations, and maternal care.

BUILDING BLOCKS FOR CHANGE / MANY HOPES HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER

Thursday, December 12th BBFC hosted its Holiday Fundraiser for Many Hopes in an effort to build 4 homes housing 60 boys as part of their sustainable housing and schooling project (http://www.ManyHopes.org).  The event was produced by Host Committee at Manon in the meatpacking district with a great turnout of loyal BBFC supporters celebrating the Holiday Season.

BLACK AND GOLD BIRTHDAY PARTY

Building Blocks cofounder, Julia Fehrenbach, and Host Committee founder, Carli Roth, held a joint birthday party on November 16th at the Raven to benefit Building Blocks for Change.

BBfC YOUNG PROFESSIONALS SPRING HAPPY HOUR

Our May 2nd, 2013 was a hit with over 200 young professionals in attendance at the Above Allen rooftop bar. The proceeds from this event are being put towards our Care for Kenya Women’s health clinic project. Thank you all for the great night and great support

BBfC OFFICIAL LAUNCH PARTY

Building Blocks held a black-tie affair for their official launch party at the Classic Car Club in Soho. A gathering of 450 supporters of Building Blocks enjoyed an evening of vodka martinis, champagne toasts, silent auction items, and dancing around vintage Aston martins and lamborghinis to Australian DJ sommelier beats. The Co-Founders gave a kick-off speech and raised over $45,000 allowing BBfC to begin construction on the hybrid solar energy power system for Siana Boarding School in Masaai Mara, Kenya.

BBfC FETE DE MASQUERADE BIRTHDAY BALL

Fete de Masquerade Birthday Ball was the first ticketed event that contributed to Building Blocks mission. Over 200 people dressed in Masquerade masks and cocktail attire for an exclusive birthday celebration of 7 ladies and 1 gentlemen at the Westway nightclub. The birthday party was a smashing success and raising both awareness of and support for Building Blocks for Change!
